Sarah is a freelance writer based in Toronto. She writes about film, culture, and art with a particular interest in the political and social implications of visual media. Her writings have appeared in NOW TorontoHyperallergicThe Daily Star, Spring Magazine, Wear Your Voice, Directed by Women, and her first Bangla-English translation was published in Harf: A Journal of South Asian Studies.

She has also worked as a fact-checker for HELLO! Canada and completed a mentorship program with Didihood, a platform for South Asian women working in media, where she was paired with Global News editor, Arti Patel.

Sarah has worked as a pre-screener for various film festivals including Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival, the largest Asian film festival in Canada.

Occasionally, she translates public awareness pamphlets and posters from English to Bangla for various social advocacy groups in Toronto.
